Emjoi eMagine Epilator

The Emjoi eMagine Epilator features the most tweezers on the market at 72,removing the majority of hair the first time, saving time and possible skin irritation by reducing the number of passes required to achieve smooth skin.
Each disc contains one fixed disc and two that open and close to gently assist in skin stretching and increase comfort. The patented glide technology lifts up and removes hair by gliding the tweezer discs over the skin with less irritation, while the dual opposed heads hold the skin taut and are more comfortable than other epilators. The dual opposed heads are staggered to cover more area surface and grasp all the hair the first time around.
Product Features: - Middle lifting fingers prepares hair for removal by lifting flat and
short hair, while decreasing the possibility of ingrown hair
- Removes hair from the root leaving skin smooth for up to 6 weeks
- Silver Ion Technology provides antimicrobial protection
- Curve shape is designed to hug to the curves of the body
- Ergonomically engineered handle is balanced in your hand and is easy to

Not that great. Really, not. at August 5, 2009
I just purchased the Emjoi Emagine and after using it I'm not convinced it's all it's made out to be here. I'd previously been using my friend's 10+ year old SilkEpil by Braun, and it works far better. It hurts a bit more, but it may be because it's actually ripping out hair, while the Emjoi misses a tonne.
On my machine, the tweezers close BEFORE they're flush with my skin. It works well on the underarms because that area is slightly curved. But for legs, it's rather crummy.
I contacted Emjoi directly, and they still haven't gotten back to me. Fabove.ca, the retailer through which I purchased, contacted Emjoi on my behalf, and Emjoi's response was kind of stupid. I'd buy from any other manufacturer at this point than Emjoi.

Terrible! at July 27, 2009
I've used Emjoi for years, but this Emagine is terrible. It breaks off the hairs instead of pulling them out. I'm returning it. I prefer their Optima epilator.

Excellent! at April 25, 2009
The is my first epilator. It's a bit pricey but I figured if I was going to use one on my legs I wanted to do it right. With 72 tweezers, this epilator works like a charm! It gets all the hair out with one stroke (on my legs). I am still getting used to it but I am very pleased with the results.
